We’ve now successfully completed a number of high performance MVHR systems with plastered-in Ergovent Rondo valves.
Ergovent valves are a new type of residential MVHR airflow outlet that uses a recessed valve in the ceiling or wall to create a completely flush ultra-minimalist valve in the plasterboard itself.
They can be powder-coated any paint colour, and even sprayed with micro-cement or similar.
The Ergovent Ronda valves still use our plenum piece within the wall or ceiling to create an entirely airtight system, so they are as simple to install as any other MVHR valve.
These plastered-in room valves can be used for both supply and extract airflow valves, and our commissioning technicians have found that they are as straightforward to commission and balance as our other valve types.
Although a little more expensive than standard room valves they do give a very clean look to the ceiling or wall, and so for more visually-important rooms we think they’ll be a very attractive option.
