If you’re considering installing an MVHR system for your residential project please read on to find out how you can save thousands of pounds.
Heat, Space and Light Ltd has pioneered a free MVHR self-installation guided service to great success on around 300 residential retrofit and new build projects across the UK since 2020.
Our free guided MVHR self-install service was developed as a result of seeing the poor quality offered by “professional” third party HVAC / MVHR installers.
By supporting self-builders, main contractors, tradespeople and DIY enthusiasts with their MVHR system installations we’ve witnessed fantastic results, and helped our clients save thousands of pounds in third party install fees.
And we can help you too.
A good installation starts with good MVHR ductwork design
Our MVHR system design reports are straightforward to follow, with easy-to-understand instructions and photographic step-by-step guidance.
Our ductwork layout drawings are clear, bold and simple to make sure they’re easy to follow on a busy and dusty building site. Annotations and images show how elements fit together, and tips ensure the system is airtight, high performance and whisper-quiet.

As such, our clients with only a small amount of DIY experience have successfully installed their own MVHR systems for their homes. They’re running perfectly and the clients are really proud of what they’ve achieved.
All MVHR install projects are quality checked during our commissioning visit
Once installed, Heat, Space and Light technicians quality-checks every single MVHR system on site ahead of our commissioning and airflow balancing site visit, and we produce a building control certificate to sign off every MVHR system.

In hundreds of MVHR projects we’ve only ever had a handful of issues, all of which were solved on the day without much fuss.
That’s compared to third party HVAC/MVHR installers, where we’ve found issues such as missing room valves, incorrect labelling and damage to materials.
Ultimately, no-one will care about healthy air quality in your future home as much as you will, and because this is a simple to install system we want to help all of our clients save money and get the best results.
We also ensure the extended six-year warranty on the MVHR systems can be activated.
